I began my teaching career in Newport News Public Schools 31 years ago. Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring and coaching new teachers, and for the past eight years, I have served as a new teacher coach. During that time, I’ve supported new teachers in areas such as classroom management, establishing effective routines and procedures, lesson planning, and more. I’m passionate about helping teachers build strong foundations for a successful year, and I look forward to sharing practical tips and strategies to help you start your school year smoothly and confidently.
