About me
I am an energetic, motivating, highly qualified, and engaging educator who works with teachers, administrators, and Curriculum Directors & Supervisors to continually improve mathematics instruction. I assist in analyzing student performance data in collaboration with classroom teachers; provide professional development; develop strategies, lessons, and units of instruction with teacher teams to deepen student math understanding and improve student achievement. My work includes support to the Newport News Public Schools Division to ensure consistency across grade levels, and serving as a resource for classroom teachers in the implementation of best practices in mathematics instruction. I have 27 years teaching experience in Public School. I have worked with teachers and students in grades 3 through 12 and as adjunct faculty. I am a career switcher from US Military, Army and was a Fulbright Exchange Teacher to Finland. I am a team player who develops professional rapport with faculty and staff to realize building goals and facilitate learning.
